Degrees and Credentials: Before pursuing her PhD in Public Policy Kathryn obtained her Masters in Public Administration (Urban Management and Policy Concentration), Bachelors of Arts Political Science from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte. Kathryn currently serves as a budget analyst for the United States Department of Transportation in the Office of the Secretary working directly with Pipelines and Hazardous Materials as well as Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration. Prior to this she worked for Charlotte Area Transit System in the Office of the CFO as a budget analyst before serving as the primary budget analyst for light rail operations.

Research Interests: Transportation Policy, Social Well-being, and Urban Development & Policy

Dissertation Topic: “From Plans to Reality: Assessing TOD and Land Use Coordination in Charlotte”
