Degrees and Credentials: Mahrukh Maqsood, a proud alumna of UNC Charlotte, holds a Master’s in Communication Studies from the university, where she was honored as a Graduation Bell Ringer, as well as a Master’s in Political Science from Government College University, Lahore. During her time at UNC Charlotte, she served as a Graduate Life Fellow with the Reynolds Center for Graduate Life and Learning, leading initiatives to enhance campus inclusivity. Passionate about advocacy, Mahrukh spearheaded projects to introduce Halal food options and support Muslim students, even presenting a TEDx talk on fostering inclusivity in higher education. With research interests spanning media studies, political narratives, and social issues, she has presented at several notable conferences. Additionally, she was awarded the prestigious DAAD Academic Exchange Fellowship in Germany. Mahrukh is fluent in English, Urdu, and Punjabi.
